Founder & Managing Partner: Dan Magder

Dan Magder is the Founder and Managing Partner of Center Creek Capital Group and CEO of Center Creek Homes. He created Center Creek to demonstrate that private capital and expertise can advance social impact, while also providing strong financial returns to investors.

Previously, Dan was a Director of Investments for Lone Star Funds, a $70B private equity fund specializing in distressed debt, where he sourced assets through partnerships with government agencies including Treasury, the Federal Reserve, the GSEs and HUD. He was also a Managing Director of Carrington Holdings – a leading non-bank lender and specialty servicer and a Director of Corporate Development at Capital One, where his deals include the $14B acquisition of North Fork Bank.

He has spoken at the White House National Economic Council, Harvard Business School, George Washington University School of Business and numerous industry conferences. He has published research papers through the Urban Institute as well, and the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Dan has a BA in Ethics, Politics & Economics from Yale and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business. He lives in Washington DC with his wife, son and daughter, and spends his free time driving his kids to hockey and dance lessons.

COO: Greg Shron

Greg Shron is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Center Creek Capital Group. Greg joined forces with Dan Magder at Center Creek after a long and rewarding stint as a senior executive at EYA, the leading infill residential developer in the Washington, DC metro region. Early in his career, Greg also worked as studio director for a boutique residential architecture firm in Northern Virginia.

With over 25 years of experience in residential and mixed-use design, construction and project management, as well as expertise in affordable/mixed-income housing, construction costs and practices, risk mitigation and regulatory approvals, Greg has played a key role in the development of 3,000+ units in over 25 communities. Greg is a registered architect in Maryland and Virginia and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He holds Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from McGill University, and a LEED AP Homes designation from the US Green Building Council.

Portfolio Director: Megan McNulty

Megan McNulty is Director of Portfolio Management for the Center Creek Housing Funds. In this role she is responsible for overseeing deployment strategy execution, as well as managing the performance of the individual houses and portfolio as a whole. Megan has worked in real estate investing for 10 years, including the last five directly in Single Family Rental investments. She was most recently the Vice President of Investments at The Promise Homes Company, where she managed acquisitions, asset management, and investment allocation. Prior to that she was a Portfolio Manager in private banking at Merrill Lynch and a sell-side Real Estate Equity Analyst at Compass Point Research & Trading. Megan has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University of Virginia, is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and member of the CFA Society of Washington, DC.

Director of Operations: Lorenzo Bailey

Lorenzo Bailey is the Director of Operations for Center Creek Capital. He is responsible for the functioning of all in-market operations by providing guidance to Center Creek’s partners, ensuring that the quality of all properties is consistent with Center Creek Standards.

With nearly 20 years of experience in single family renovations, Lorenzo focuses on residential rehab and possesses a deep understanding of construction organizations within regional markets. Previously he has helped launch operations in multiple markets for Zillow and Redfin. Lorenzo implements processes and programs to facilitate the efficient and cost-effective execution of renovations.

Lorenzo began his career as a private contractor, specializing in single- and multi-family renovations for homeowners and investors.

CFO: Michael Schiavo

Mike Schiavo has over 30 years of experience in the venture capital and private equity sector, working with companies that include TA Associates, Advent International, MVP Ventures, Parthenon Capital and Kodiak Venture Partners. He also founded CFO Consulting Services, providing services to a number of private equity and venture capital firms. Mike has extensive experience administering funds, structuring partnerships, raising capital, term sheet negotiation and partnership tax return preparation. He holds a MS in Taxation from Bentley University, a Masters in Business Administration from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Siena College. He is an Enrolled Agent, admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. He is a past member of a number of Boards of Directors including Boston Private Bank & Trust Company and KVH Industries (NASDAQ: KVHI). Mike has been a frequent speaker and panelist at industry conferences and is a former adjunct professor at Bentley University.
